I'M IN SWITZERLAND!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the late update. We just got internet access. It's so beautiful here. We flew in right along side the Alps! There's snow on the top of the mountains, but down in Lausanne its in the 80's during the day. The scenery is so pretty. Everything seems pretty difficult right now, but just because it's completely different as to how I'm used to living. There's no air conditioning ANYWHERE...not even in our dorm rooms. We have to leave the window open at night, but at night it is so beautiful out anyway. We also have to take a public bus to go anywhere. I never ride buses, so I have had to learn the system and the schedules. Everyone speaks French here. A lot of people speak broken English thankfully, but we have come across a lot of people who really don't speak any english at all. That's when we whip out the phrase book and do our best. It's been successful so far!!! The girls in my group are very nice. They are a lot of fun. Dr. Severt is the best professor I've ever had. She's so supportive and would do anything for anyone.

We went down to Lausanne today and we drank out of a fountain. The water is so fresh here. It's glacier water, so you can drink it out of any fountain. We took pictures doing that. Every night I have had pizza for dinner because I can't read anything else on the menu. It's all in French! Today I went to dinner w/ 3 girls and Dr. Severt and I actually had a hamburger and french fries!! Yay! American food! No pizza! Pascale and I have a presentation tomorrow, then we are going to Lausanne to validate our Eurail passes. We leave for Paris the day after tomorrow!
