PARIS WAS AMAZING!!!!

Okay everyone...I don't have a lot of time to post so I'll give you the quick version for now:

PARIS WAS AMAZING!

Here's the link to pictures: CLICK HERE

July 3:

Took train to Paris. We got to Paris, got settled in hotel, went to our group dinner. Our hotel was so cute. Our room was an old fashioned paris room. Cute wallpaper. The building was probably over 100 years old...at least it seemed like it. That night I went to the Eiffel Tower with Jen, Lori, Emmy, Peggy, and Dr. Severt. We came out from under the ground cuz we used the Metro and I could see the blinking lights on the buildings nearby. I looked up and saw the Eiffel tower lit up in blue with silver sparkling lights. SO BEAUTIFUL! It's absolutely huge! We paid to go up to the 2nd floor and we looked out at the city. It was amazing. A dream come true.

July 4:

Pascale and I ate at a cafe on the side of the road in Paris. Vespas and cars zooming by. We had espresso and muffins. We went to the Paris Congress Centre as a group (the convention center). That was neat. Different from convention centers at home. Then, we went to St. Chapelle Cathedral. That was very pretty. Stained glass was beautiful. Then, we went to Notre Dame. AMAZING! It was so pretty and huge! I walked inside and could smell the insence. I heard a priest singing in Latin. They were having mass!!! I can't believe I saw a mass at the Notre Dame Cathedral. I lit a candle and prayed for my family. It gave me chills. We went to a piano bar that night and had some drinks. It was fun!

July 5:

Went to meet Aunt Margie & Uncle Gary at their hotel!!! I was so happy to see them! We went to the Louvre together. We got to see the Mona Lisa which was awesome. It's small and over-rated but still cool to see. There were so many other beautiful works of art that I recognized. We only had the time to go through half of the museum. Then, I took them over to Notre Dame so they could see it. We then headed to the Arc de Triomphe which is also huge! We climed something like 196 stairs to get to the top. It was small spiral staircase. We got to the top and you could see the whole city. It was BEAUTIFUL! We stayed at the top til the sun set and the Eiffel tower started blinking. Then, we came down from the arc and went over to the Eiffel tower. We bought chocolate crepes and sat and looked at the Eiffel Tower. It's just so pretty you can't stop staring at it.

July 6:

Met Aunt Margie & Uncle Gary again. We went to Versailles. We didn't go in the palace. Line was too long. We went into the gardens, which are beautiful. The fountains were pretty. We had lunch in the garden. Yummy chicken caesar salad! I said bye to them and went back to the hotel. I took a nap and then played cards w/ some of the girls. We went to a greek restaurant for dinner.

July 7:

Happy 21st bday Kelly! (Just had to get that out) Sorry I can't be there but I know you'll have a great time! Today I went to go to Musee d'Orsay w/ Peggy, but we got there and it was closed. We got chinese food and had a picnic on the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower. We then went to the train station w/ Dr. Severt and we missed our train cuz the lady put us on the wrong one. She gave us the wrong ticket. We were pretty annoyed to say the least. We had to wait 2 hours for the next train, but at least we could get on one today!

LOVE YOU ALL! XOXO

I thought Chappelle was the most beautiful place! The Eiffel was covered in white lights while we were there, but the blue is much prettier. mmmmmmmmm, crepes!

YAY! I am so glad you have enjoyed Paris! I hope the people were nice to you...some of them were mean to Mommy and I. I just LOVE reading your blog...it gives me good flashbacks! Sorry the Orsay was closed for you. Ongerie was closed when we were there (all of Monet's work). I also felt the Mona Lisa was small and overrated...but she's still pretty cool. She pretty much has her own room! Miss you! Keep enjoying yourself!

AH! I'm just getting caught up on your blog now and I am so happy for you! Paris is amazing and if I didn't have the shackles that Ms. Kanzler and Ms. Faulks put on my legs, I would have loved to explore the city more on my own...oh well. Have a great time visiting the rest of Europe
